Financial Times reporting that Nscale's CEO pay nearly matched FTSE 100 levels is less about one executive and more about how aggressively capital is chasing AI infrastructure.
That matters because the infrastructure layer is now one of the most competitive parts of AI. GPU clouds, data-center operators, energy developers, and financiers are fighting for talent and speed in a market where capacity can become strategic overnight.
The useful question is whether compensation and valuations are being matched by durable demand. AI infrastructure can be essential, but overheated incentives can also signal that the buildout is pricing in perfection.
